Architecture
Over the past 20 years our buildings have made a significant difference to their surroundings. The practice has revitalized architectural landmarks, such as Michelin House, Butlers Wharf and Bluebird Garage, produced the greenest building of its time, the Longman Headquarters in Harlow, and designed new developments for City Lofts all over Britain. We have recently completed work on Roppongi Hills, a new 11-hectare urban quarter in the heart of Tokyo. In quality of design, no less than in richness and diversity of ideas, each building serves to enhance its location.
Interiors
Whether it is an apartment in Tokyo, a hotel lobby in Delhi, a rooftop restaurant in the City of London, or a retail outlet for a major high-street chain, we have an excellent reputation for creating distinctive and high-quality interiors. All our schemes are based on a strong underlying idea, developed with the client, which informs every detail from the arrangement of space to materials and graphics. The results deliver both delight and integrity, as well as sound commercial success.
Products
Our approach is to create the currency of a successful relationship between our clients and their customers by developing products that are charismatic, clearly differentiated, straightforward to manufacture, simple to understand and easy to use. Whether developing a new product, evolving an existing one, expanding a range or creating a new business opportunity, we ensure both client and customer gain value for money by the intelligent application of innovation and design. We see this as an equation:
Value = (Design + Quality + Brand) / Price
We work in close partnership with our clients, measuring success in clients sales and customer satisfaction.
Graphics
We consider graphic identity, product, packaging, presentation and the selling environment as interrelated components of successful merchandise. This holistic approach ensures that all design solutions, from packaging to marketing tools, corporate livery to brand development, are considered in relation to each other and their application in the marketplace. The approach also guarantees consistency and avoids the need for clients to deal with a variety of service companies, all with their own creative ideals.
