PRESS RELEASE: Conran & Partner's Skylon wins Best Design Award

D&D's Skylon, designed by Conran & Partners, has been awarded the Best Design Award in the Time Out Eating & Drinking Awards, as voted for by Time Out readers across the capital.

The restaurant, which is housed in the newly refurbished Royal Festival Hall, beat runners up High Road House, L'Atelier de Joel Robouchon, Meals and Pearl Llang to the prize.

'We are very excited to win the award' said Tina Norden, who led the design team 'it's all the more special since it is voted for by the public, who are after all our key audience'.

Referencing design details from around the building and taking its cue from original heritage features and colours, Conran & Partners have created a modern and intimate atmosphere in the spacious Grade I listed building, this enhanced by magnificent views to the Thames.
