This scheme, for a consortium of more than 250 land-owners, will provide 400,000sq m of retail, office, leisure and residential buildings next to the Tamagawa river. A central promenade through the site aims to create a route, marked by a "ribbon", from the Futako-Tamagawa railway station to a new park, adjacent to the tallest residential towers. The design of the buildings responds to this journey, becoming finer and more transparent closer to the park to represent the transition from urban to natural. Construction is due to begin in 2007 and finish in 2009.
