The Trevor Osborne Property Group asked Conran & Partners to design a development of fifteen apartments in Porthleven, Cornwall. The site, just off the harbour quayside, is in a Conservation Area and a previous application by others had been refused at appeal on design grounds.

C&P have produced a design that is highly sympathetic to its immediate context through its roof form and materials (render and granite rubble walling), but lifted beyond the pastiche by the crisp contemporary detailing of its metal-lined window reveals and glazed balconies.

The detailed design is being developed, in association with St Ives-based architects Poynton Bradbury Wynter Cole.
