The design concept for The Park Bangalore aimed to create an ‘urban resort’, achieving a fusion between the craft and colour of traditional India and the technological advances for which Bangalore is becoming famous.  Drawing on this vast richness, suggestive of India ’s variety of experiences and cultures, Conran & Partners were careful to ensure that their contemporary attitude towards design did not underplay the importance of the surrounding cultural environment.

Using local craftsmen and materials throughout, the interior of The Park, Bangalore takes its guests on an effortless urban ‘safari’. In the bedrooms, contemporary four-poster beds and folding timber and leather furniture are matched with brightly coloured silks and rugs, adding layer of luxury to an ironic modern ‘take’ on the colonial experience. The bar, restaurant, and screening room reveal themselves in layers, creating a sense of Eastern intrigue. The reception desk and floor are finished in patterned grey marble set with coloured ‘jewels’ to create a sense of understated luxury.
