Botanica

Botanica Restaurant is located in Tokyo Midtown, a new mixed-use development in the Roppongi quarter of the city. The restaurant is on the 4th floor and includes a terrace overlooking a park and the Design Sight 21-21, a design gallery / workshop created by the fashion designer Issey Miyake and architect Tadao Ando. The terrace garden was designed by Conran & Partners in conjunction with Japanese landscape architect Keiko Yoshiya.

As the name suggests, Botanica takes its inspiration from the park and greenery that it overlooks, using natural colours and materials, timbers, natural stone and muted tones of green.

Conran & Partners designed a series of pendant lamps and standard lamps with natural shades, in keeping with the botanical theme. Our graphics team, who were responsible for the graphics and branding concept for the whole restaurant, designed a leaf-motif, displayed on glass screens surrounding the dining space.
