The Conran Shop on Rue du Bac was opened in the early 1990’s in the fashionable Left Bank area of Paris. The 2,500sqm unit is arranged over several floors and mezzanines, making it a fascinating store to explore. The interior is designed to be a simple backdrop to the home furnishings on display.  Floors are light-coloured ceramic tiles. Walls and ceilings are painted white. Central structural columns are clad in organic plaster forms and all the fixtures are bespoke items made in either cherry or sycamore.
