The Terence Conran by Royal Doulton range is made from a combination of extremely tactile materials including oak, soda glass, wire and a robust stoneware that was the founding ceramic material of Doulton in 1812.
An important feature about this strong, dense material is that it holds the heat and can be taken straight from kitchen to table. There is little more disappointing than tepid food that is meant to be piping hot and if you want seriously cold food you can simply chill the plates in the fridge.
The objective of this range is that it provides the perfect backdrop to cooking and allows the food to take centre stage. The collection covers over 50 pieces including a full set of tableware and a large kitchenware collection inspired by the Conran passion for traditional English cooking. It is available in two designs - Albion, a bright white and Chophouse, which uses an eye-catching mix of horizontal blue stripes in a variety of scales.
Each piece has been thoughtfully designed for easy, versatile use and includes pudding bowls, pie dishes and a whole family of jugs whose shapes are inspired by birds.
A selection of items from the collection are beautifully packaged in C&P designed gift boxes featuring Terence’s illustrations and personal insights into the ethos behind the design.
