over 20 years. He has in depth design experience covering a wide range of multifaceted architectural, transport infrastructure and master planning projects, as well as complex individual buildings.
Azhar has previously worked with a number of world respected offices including Alsop & Stoermer, Terry Farrell and Battle McCarthy. He had key roles on the original Crossrail project at London’s Paddington Station; Canning Town and North Greenwich stations on the Jubilee Line and the development of Yen Chow Station in Kowloon for KCRC.
In addition Azhar has extensive experience in sustainable design, off-site manufacturing,
pre-fabrication and modular construction. He is also engaged in ongoing research into emerging technologies through adopting innovations from the automotive, naval and aviation sectors.
He trained in architecture at The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College of London, and has taught and lectured widely, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has been responsible for numerous first prizes in international architectural competitions, and has exhibited work in Berlin and Rotterdam.
