Jane is a Director at Conran & Partners and leads our interior design team. Since joining C&P in 1996, she has been responsible for a wide range of projects in the commercial, retail, and leisure sectors.
Her work includes Georges department store in Melbourne Australia which opened in 1997 and includes three restaurants and four floors of retail. It was the winner of the Marion Mahony Award from the Royal Institute of Australian Architects 1998, for interior architecture. Jane also designed the Bluebird Club, part of Conran Restaurants 50,000sqft retail and restaurant conversion of a listed art deco garage in Chelsea.
Jane worked on the £70 million the refurbishment of the Great Eastern Hotel, Liverpool Street, and was responsible for the design of the ‘centre piece’ Aurora restaurant, the listed banqueting and meeting rooms and a number of the bedrooms.
Jane led the team that designed the World City Gallery and the London before London Gallery at the Museum of London. The gallery was the winner of the Dibner Award 2002 for excellence in museum design and interpretation. Subsequently, Conran & Partners were commissioned to lead the design of the ‘London before London’ gallery at the Museum of London.
Jane led the design team responsible for Conran & Partners’ concept for Barclays Bank. The scheme, incorporating the ‘Barclays Blue’, has been rolled out nationwide and can be seen on every British high street.
Recently, Jane has been responsible for design of the suites, restaurants and conference facilities at Das Triest Hotel, Vienna and Café Drechsler, a Viennese café for the same client. She has just completed a project for Swarovski Crystal which includes a shop, restaurant and private dining facility at their flagship store in Austria. Jane leads a team of designers currently working on residential and hotel projects in Dubai, India and Edinburgh.
