Conran Shop, Marylebone High Street

The Conran Shop and elegant Orrery restaurant are located within the same building in the North Marylebone Conservation Area. The scheme retains the original façade of a historic stable block. Behind, a new concrete structure was inserted, set back on the second level to reduce impact on the surrounding area.

A steel, glass and reconstituted stone staircase wraps around a glazed lift shaft in the centre of the shop, forming the main customer route to the upper levels.
