
Richard Doone
Managing Director (Far East)
Richard trained at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, and joined Conran & Partners in 1984. He currently leads the Architecture and Interior Design business in the Far East.
Richard’s completed Far East projects include Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, an 11-hectare urban regeneration scheme, where our work comprised two 44-storey residential towers, an 18-storey serviced apartment tower, a 15-storey mixed-use building, a health spa and the 5,000 sq m Roppongi Hills dining club. Other completed Japanese projects include Niki Club East, a resort hotel in Nasu, and Conran Shops in Tokyo, Fukuoka and Nagoya. His current Japanese work includes Futako Tamagawa Rise, a 20 Hectare regeneration scheme currently Tokyo’s largest onsite development project.
In Hong Kong, Richard has worked with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, The Hong Kong Club and Hotel Icon, a new hotel associated with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
